Sal y Luz --- Salt and Light

Aug 30, 2026    Pr. Peter Gormley

As Christians, we know that Jesus sent us to the world to make disciples (Mt 28:18-20), but sometimes we get the idea that there are certain members in the church - pastors, evangelists, missionaries, etc. - who are the ones who are supposed to do that. He said we are salt and light in this world (Mt 5:13-16). What does that mean? You might be surprised that Jesus was talking to all his disciples when He said that as the Father had sent Him to us, He (Jesus) was sending all of us into the world. In the series, we will see why Jesus called us Salt and Light and that He has powerful plans for our lives. It's not about shouting on a street corner, but finding a way to be salt and light to everyone around us.
