Sal y Luz Pt3 --- Salt and Light Pt3

Sep 13, 2026  •  Pr. Peter Gormley

As Christians, we know that Jesus sent us to the world to make disciples (Mt 28:18-20), but sometimes we get the idea that there are certain members in the church - pastors, evangelists, missionaries, etc. - who are the ones who are supposed to do that. He said we are salt and light in this world (Mt 5:13-16). What does that mean? You might be surprised that Jesus was talking to all his disciples when He said that as the Father had sent Him to us, He (Jesus) was sending all of us into the world. In the series, we will see why Jesus called us Salt and Light and that He has powerful plans for our lives. It's not about shouting on a street corner, but finding a way to be salt and light to everyone around us.

In this third part of the series, we'll look at HOW we can easily share our faith, without standing on a street corner screaming at people. When we hear 'evangelism' we sometime think of this image. But true personal evangelism is as gentle as a friendly conversation, just talking about what God has done in your life. From where you were, to your encounter with Christ, and finishing with your changed life now. We can easily share this in as little as a few minutes or for hours, depending on the situation. And this offers the Holy Spirit a [platform to touch them and bring them to Christ. Let's look at how this happens!
